How We Properly Secure And Section-Off
The Work Area

Here’s How We Prevent Dust & Debris From Entering Your Home

Proper project securing and dust management are big factors in the success of your remodel. Many times, when hiring home remodeling companies, clients don’t realize how important these two factors are and what impact they can have on the whole project as well as customer experience and overall satisfaction.

That’s why, at 4Ever Remodeling, we approach project securing and dust management with the proper organization. We take extra steps to prevent any unnecessary injuries and to keep dust from sneaking all over the place.

Proper Project Securing

Let’s start with proper project securing. The day we start your remodeling project, our team will inform you which space they will occupy and what part of your property will be our working area. In addition to this, we’ll discuss options for how to prevent kids and pets from entering the project area as well as ways to minimize customer involvement.

Also our teams are trained that during working hours, if anyone not working for 4Ever Remodeling enters the job site without proper supervision, they will stop the work and wait until they are ok to restart it.

Floor Protection And Plastic Barrier Installation

Our team will start with covering the floor either by laying tarps or painter’s paper, and if possible, tape the floor covering down with painter’s tape to minimize any movements. Once this is completed, they will continue with plastic barriers to separate the working area from the rest of the property.

Plastic barriers will be installed from floor to ceiling or on the door opening with a tarp zipper to allow comfortable access inside. All of our teams are supplied with a shop vac and they are instructed to vacuum the working area properly. On the bigger projects where space allows, we supply our teams with clean dust scrubbing systems, which can be a big factor once plaster demolition is involved and a high volume of dust is generated.

A proper and responsible approach from the start of each project can have an impact on the whole project experience and the customer’s life during the project. That’s why, before you choose your remodeling company, it is always good to talk to them about the steps they take to prevent dust from spreading throughout your home.
